Representatives from Worthy Park (Craig Nicholson) and El Dorado (Shaun Caleb) will breakdown the philosophies, technical decisions and signature components that define their distilleries' styles. Attendees will taste a core base component from each producer and learn how marks, aging and sensory clues shape the backbone of a blend. The session then shifts into a hands-on lab, where attendees work in small teams to create their own multi-island blend using measured components from all three distilleries. Teams receive a simple blending kit and a worksheet to design, balance and evaluate their creation. To keep the experience focused and feasible for a Tales seminar, teams will submit a single blend. A short pre-screen selects standout blends for live evaluation by the blenders, time permitting. If logistics require it, we could have the attendees leave with their custom blend formula and tasting notes.
