This seminar is equal parts water appreciation and highball experimentation as we discuss and taste several commercial bottled waters and the same whiskey soda made with each. This experiment reveals the unexpectedly huge impact that the water makes, particularly in the simplest two-ingredient drinks, and reveals that the very best and most delicious water does not correlate to the very best and most delicious Whiskey Soda! Water is full of surprises.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMuch of the seminar will be spent learning about still and sparkling waters – where they’re from, how they’re made, what the major differentiators are between brands, how to taste and rate them, popular international brands, homemade micromanaged soda waters(!), and water programs at bars and restaurants. We’ll taste and rate several waters on their own, and then retaste them all with Bushmills Irish Whiskey to see how the flavor of the whiskey is highlighted, flattened, or ruined.
