The hospitality industry thrives on connection, but how do we extend that spirit beyond the bar and into our communities? Doing Good In the Neighborhood explores the vast spectrum of ways to do good... whether that be through starting a nonprofit, community organizations, creating mutual aid networks, championing education and career development, or simply finding the path that works for you. This seminar will provide actionable insights, real-world examples, and practical tools to help you identify your unique role in building stronger, more equitable communities. More than ever, we need to not only look for the helpers but become the helpers. I think we will all find that one significant way we can fill our own cups outside of the bar is by getting out of ourselves and getting involved. "Go out in the world and do well, but more importantly go out into the world and do good." This seminar will break down the barriers to getting involved, and provide insight and inspiration into some of our industry's best examples of Do Gooders. Attendees will leave with a thoughtful and thorough guidance book and consolidated resources on how to ways to give back in their communities.
