Resilience in Real Time: Building Community Through Crisis is a seminar that examines how hospitality workers and community-centered small businesses owned by and serving multicultural, immigrant-rooted, and historically underrepresented communities can survive and adapt through major disruptions. Using Nativo as a living case study, Marlene and Corissa will share the real strategies that helped their community withstand the pandemic, the writer’s strikes, ICE raids in the neighborhood, local fires, and now the pressures of a tightening economy. Through a blend of storytelling, reflective dialogue, and practical tools, the seminar highlights how cultural programming, partnerships, mutual-aid initiatives, and accessible financial literacy together create a foundation for resilience. Attendees will learn how to build community networks that sustain businesses during difficult economic seasons, develop programming that uplifts creatives, workers, and entrepreneurs from marginalized backgrounds, and apply financial practices that help individuals and teams stay grounded. This seminar offers timely, relevant solutions by blending cultural leadership with financial empowerment—showing how creativity, shared resources, and collective knowledge prepare us to face crisis in real time. Participants will leave with concrete strategies for recession resilience, community engagement, and long-term financial stability.

Seminars will be hosted at the Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans and will range from 60-90 minutes. Brands will receive logo placement on the TOTC2025 agenda and signage and have the opportunity to have their product served during their sponsored seminar.

Seminar sponsorships are responsible for the underwriting of the spirits served and will be ordered through the Foundation.
